Extracurricular activities:
After school, KTS offers different kinds of activities:
- Drama club
- Egypt group
- Bangladesh group
- School Choir
- Volleyball
- Chess Club
- Multimedia Club
Drama Club:
The Drama Club gets together every week to practice for its
next production. Just about every half year they perform a new
play on stage. Most of the plays are very famous like "The
Visit" by Friedrich Dürrenmatt and "A Midsummer
Night's Dream" by Shakespeare. Pupils and teachers of every
age play along.
Because the plays are so popular even the press writes articles
about them.
Egypt Group:
The Egypt Group has existed since 1996. It is one of the two
projects the school offers to youngsters from grade 6 to 11
to get active by helping people in need.
They meet every week, have lunch together and learn about Egypt.
They specialise on handicapped people there in supporting them
to get skilled for a job. Last year the group even visited the
people over there.

The Bangladesh group developed in 1998 during an ethics class
where a teacher informed the students about the circumstances
of the people over there. They started by collecting money from
students and parents. But after some time they decided to get
active and do certain projects to give help for self-help. They
supported the building of schools.

The biggest amount of money was collected at the school festival
in 1999, but there have also been sponsored walks.
Choir:
The choir has different kinds of projects. For example every
year at Christmas time they give an advent concert. They start
meeting about two months before the show. The choir also sings
at school festivals and appears on stage with local bands. It
is lead by a music teacher and is very successful.
Volleyball team:
There is an official Volleyball team which participates in
tournaments with other schools in and around Cologne. The team
is very famous, because it even became city champion.
They practice once a week, coached by a sports teacher.
