Grades 11 to 13 (also called Sek II):

- In Grade
11 pupils have to choose courses; it is obligatory to have
a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 courses; there are no
class divisions as in SEK I.
- In Grade
12 and 13 pupils have to choose 9 courses out of the courses
which were chosen in Grade 11.
- Pupils
have to choose either two language or two science courses
out of those 9 courses.
- Pupils
have to choose two high performance courses (five lessons
a week instead of three in the basic courses).
- At the
end of Grade 13 pupils will be tested in four courses ( two
of them are the high performance courses ); three courses
are tested in writing, the fourth is an oral exam
After passing the exams the pupils get their diploma with
which they may apply to any university.
- At the
end of Grade 12 or at the beginning of Grade 13 pupils go
on a 10-days trip abroad
